Holotypica is focused on thoughtfully kept and bred dart frogs, emerald tree skinks, rare micro tree skinks, and the living systems that support them. The name comes from holotype, the single specimen used to define and anchor the description of a species. For me, it reflects a love of natural history, taxonomy, and careful attention to the animals themselves.
You can check the available animals below to see what is ready now, or look at what is “on deck” to see what will be available in the coming months. I sell locally in Connecticut and ship to the lower 48 when weather and shipping conditions are safe.
My background is in amphibian ecology and evolution, and I bring that perspective into my husbandry, breeding, and writing. I publish care articles and natural history pieces about the animals I keep, with an emphasis on evidence-based herpetoculture and long-term success.
Animals offered here are raised with patience and care, through to a stable size and condition for their next home. I am always happy to help with questions before or after a sale, including species choice, enclosure design, feeding, supplementation, and bioactive setup.
In addition to animals, I also offer vivarium supplies when available, including cleanup crews, substrates, leaf litter, plant cuttings, feeders, and feeder culture supplies. I also build custom glass vivaria and PVC enclosures for larger species on commission.
Thanks for supporting careful, research-informed herpetoculture.
